Hello. I wrote a little book about GraphQL.

It's called The Contract, because that's the idea that made GraphQL interesting: everyone finally agreeing on the same contract.

You can read it in about fifteen minutes. It isn't a tutorial. It's an explanation of why GraphQL mattered — not one endpoint, not fewer requests, not replacing REST — and where it still fits today. If you've ever wired a frontend to an API and hoped the response looked like the docs said it would, you know enough to start.
